          Metalmicron has been producing precision-turned hardware since 1957.
          Our philosophy for the third millennium considers the following three concepts to be indispensable for successfully remaining on our markets :

      Production processes are continuously updated from a technological standpoint in order to improve the human-environmental factor.
      The following paragraphs express the principal points of the company's policy.

        SafetyAll the products and workpieces used in the production process must be accompanied by a quality control card. Outside consultants who are enrolled on professional registers or belong to professional societies must be employed when purchasing or designing new systems and machinery, as well as when existing equipment is modified. All new systems must bear the CE mark.
        RoHS statementAll our products and production process comply with the requirements of the Directive on the use of certain hazardous substances in eletrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2002/95/EC - "RoHS").
        Order and cleanlinessAll machine operators must be thoroughly instilled with a sense of order and cleanliness.
        SpaceMetalmicron has recently expanded its enclosed surface area to 2400 square meters.
        NoiseQuieter machinery is purchased on an ongoing basis, and existing equipment is constantly modified to provide greater safety and quietness during operation.
        Air Conditioning Throughout the company, an air conditioning and filtration system with the latest technology offers superior comfort and lower emissions into the atmosphere. Air is heated by a condensation-type plant produced by the Hoval company, and is cooled by an absorption system made by Robur which does not use CFCs, HCFCs or HFCs. These heating and cooling systems are exclusively fuelled with methane gas supplied by the Italgas company, thus minimising the release of pollutants into the atmosphere .
      High levels of quality of products and services.

        The company's quality system is based on ISO 9000 standards, which have been suitably modified and adapted to our production facility. Adaptation of these norms was carried out according to our procedures contained in a special guidebook and reported in our quality manual. Our quest for the highest levels of quality requires us to constantly improve the professional skills of every employee at Metalmicron through a program of technical courses. Similarly, the methods and tools we use for production and quality control are regularly updated with the latest innovations.
      Swiftdevelopement and execution.

        We feel that swiftness is a positive value when it involves the ability to acquire and adopt new technologies rapidly in order to fulfil requests for both prototypes and products, since such requests require increasingly shorter lead times and times-to-market. To respond even more quickly to these requirements, we are expanding our machinery to include fast CNC lathes. Even so, using our traditional cam-actuated machines, we can combine the resources of our tooling department with those of outside suppliers to ready as many as four sets of tooling for new products every week.
        Over the past 3 years, an average of 218 new products were developed each year.
